What Is 5457 Aluminum?<\/h2>\n

5457 is a non-heat-treatable 5xxx alloy with low magnesium (about 1 percent) and manganese, engineered for bright-anodized decorative trim. It offers good strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and a high-quality bright finish after anodizing, which makes it ideal for automotive and architectural trim.<\/p>\n

Sheet and Coil<\/h3>\n

5457 is supplied primarily as thin-gauge sheet and coil in thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 4 mm, widths up to 2000 mm, and lengths up to 6000 mm or cut to size. O and H25 are the common trim tempers.<\/p>\n

Thick plate is not a standard 5457 product; thin rolled coil and sheet are the typical forms. Other gauges can be discussed on request.<\/p>\n
