5657 is a non-heat-treatable 5xxx alloy with about 1 percent magnesium, developed for high-quality anodized surfaces. It provides an excellent anodizing response, good corrosion resistance, and moderate strength, and is widely used for decorative and architectural finishes.<\/p>\n
