What Is 7005 Aluminum?<\/h2>\n

7005 is strengthened by zinc and magnesium with added manganese for corrosion resistance and strength. Unlike the very high-strength 7075, 7005 is formulated to weld well and keep useful properties in the as-welded condition, which is why it appears in boat hulls, rail vehicles, and welded frames. Its strength is higher than 6061 and close to, though generally below, 7075.<\/p>\n
