What Is 7075 Aluminum?<\/h2>\n

7075 aluminum is the best-known high-strength 7xxx series alloy, with zinc as the principal hardener and copper and magnesium as major additions. In the T6 and T651 tempers it reaches strength comparable to many steels while staying light, which is why it has been the aerospace and performance-engineering standard for decades. Its corrosion resistance is lower than 6xxx grades, so exterior use usually calls for cladding or coating.
