The 7000 series of aluminum alloys are known for being very strong. Zinc is the main metal mixed in. A well-known example is 7075 Aluminum Alloy, which includes aluminum, magnesium, zinc, and copper. It has great hardness and resists wear thanks to heat treatment. It can be welded fairly well, but it does not resist corrosion as much as other aluminum alloys.
