7150 is a high-strength, heat-treatable 7xxx alloy primarily alloyed with zinc, copper and magnesium. It is engineered for aerospace structures, offering a strong balance of strength, fatigue resistance and fracture toughness. Linsy supplies 7150 plate, bar and tube in T6, T651 and T7751 tempers with full MTC documentation. While not quite as strong as 7055, 7150 provides an excellent combination of properties for demanding aircraft structural components such as wing and fuselage parts.

Typical T7x values: tensile 540–570 MPa, yield 420–520 MPa, elongation 11–13%, shear 150–340 MPa. Values vary by product form and thickness — confirm against the MTC.
| Temper | Temper | Tensile (MPa) | Yield (MPa) | Elong. (%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T651 | 540 – 570 | 420 – 520 | 11 – 13 | |
| T7751 | 540 – 570 | 420 – 520 | 11 – 13 |
T651 — high strength with stress relief for machining. T7751 — optimized toughness and corrosion resistance for aerospace structures. 7150 is not weld-friendly; use mechanical joining.
Strong 7xxx grade balanced for fatigue-critical parts.
Suited to cyclic-load aircraft structures.
Not recommended for fusion welding.
Aircraft wing and fuselage structures, gears and shafts, high-stress automotive and aerospace components.
CNC machining and saw cutting supported; anodizing available. 7150 work-hardens — use rigid tooling and coolant.
Every order ships with an MTC. SGS third-party test reports available on request. Linsy holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
