What Is 7020 Aluminum?

7020 aluminum is a medium-strength 7xxx series wrought alloy with zinc and magnesium as the main hardeners. It is valued for excellent weldability, good corrosion resistance, and strong fatigue performance, making it a common choice for welded transport and structural assemblies. Compared with 7075 it offers slightly lower peak strength but better fabrication behavior, especially in marine or humid service.
