What Is 7021 Aluminum?

7021 aluminum is a high-strength, weldable 7xxx series alloy primarily alloyed with zinc and magnesium, with a copper addition for strength. It is engineered for structural applications that demand high strength, good weldability, and reasonable corrosion resistance. While not as strong as 7075, 7021 offers a better balance of weldability and strength, making it a preferred choice for welded structures in transport and aerospace.
