What Is 7055 Aluminum?

7055 aluminum is one of the highest-strength 7xxx series alloys, with very high zinc plus copper, magnesium, and zirconium. It was developed to exceed 7050 and 7075 in compression strength and fatigue performance, especially in thick sections, and is used for the most demanding aerospace structures. The T7751 temper provides an excellent balance of strength and corrosion resistance. Linsy supplies 7055 in plate, tube, bar, and wire with mill test certificates on every order.
