What Is 1070 Aluminum Alloy?

1070 aluminum alloy (UNS A91070, EN AW-1070A / Al99.7) is a commercially pure aluminum grade containing at least 99.7% aluminum, making it one of the highest-purity grades in the 1000 series. Since its primary constituent is aluminum with only trace amounts of other elements, 1070 cannot be strengthened by heat treatment — instead, strength improvements are achieved through cold working (strain hardening).
