5083 aluminum sheet is a non-heat-treatable, high-magnesium alloy (AlMg4.5Mn0.7) and one of the strongest work-hardenable grades available. 5083 Aluminum Sheet is a non-heat-treatable aluminum-magnesium alloy (AlMg4.5Mn0.7) supplied by Linsy Aluminum. It is one of the strongest work-hardenable grades and is widely specified for marine, offshore, and cryogenic service because of its excellent resistance to seawater corrosion and its ability to retain strength after welding. Common tempers include O, H111, H112, H116, and H321.
