6101 aluminiumlegering (EN AW-6101) is a 6000-series, high-conductivity grade used for bus bars, electrical conductors, and power-distribution components. It combines good electrical performance with light weight, formability, and corrosion resistance, and is supplied as sheet, bar, tube, wire, and profile in O/T6/T61/T64/T65 tempers. Linsy provides 6101 with made-to-order sizes and an MTC on every order.

6101 (EN AW-6101) is a 6000-series aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon, developed for high electrical conductivity while retaining useful strength and formability. It is a primary choice for bus bars, electrical conductors, and power-distribution components where weight savings and corrosion resistance matter.
Compared with general structural grades, 6101 is optimized for current-carrying performance, making it common in switchgear, rail traction, and automotive electrical systems.

The defining property of 6101 — suitable for bus bars and conductors where weight and corrosion resistance are priorities.
Readily formed and weldable; joints should be designed considering local conductivity changes.
Good in most atmospheric and indoor electrical environments.
6101 machines well in the soft (O) and solution-heat-treated tempers; T6/T651 tempers are stronger and can work-harden at the cutting edge, so sharp tooling and appropriate feeds are recommended.
6101 is generally weldable using TIG or MIG processes with matching or 4043/5356 filler, depending on the service requirement. Welded zones lose some strength compared with the base temper — design accordingly for structural use.
Forming is best done in the O or T4 condition. Final strength is developed by the specified temper; do not re-heat-treat without confirming the alloy’s response.
Common finishes include anodizing, polishing, and powder coating. Anodizing quality depends on surface preparation, so confirm finish requirements before production.
Every 6101 order ships with an MTC reporting composition and properties. Conductivity testing can be arranged on request. Confirm the required standard (ASTM, EN, GB) when ordering.
Linsy operates a Shenzhen production base with over 20 years of experience supplying aluminum semis to global B2B buyers. We handle the 1000 through 8000 series and support both standard stock sizes and made-to-order dimensions.
Mainly high-conductivity electrical applications such as bus bars, conductors, and welded electrical assemblies.
6101 is tuned for electrical conductivity, while 6061 is a more general structural alloy with higher strength.
O, T6, T61, T64, and T65, depending on the conductivity/strength balance required.
Standard stock items usually ship within 10–30 days. Custom sizes, tempers, or surface finishes typically require 30–60 days, depending on specification and order volume.
Yes. Every order ships with an MTC reporting chemical composition and mechanical properties per the ordered standard.
Yes. We supply standard and made-to-order dimensions across sheet, plate, bar, tube, and profile, and can arrange specific tempers on request.
Operations follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Material can be supplied to ASTM, EN, GB, or JIS specifications as required.
Standard seaworthy export packaging with moisture protection is used; specific requirements are confirmed at order.
