What Is 6061 Aluminum Sheet?

6061 is one of the most widely used heat-treatable aluminum alloys. In sheet form it offers an excellent balance of strength, weldability, and corrosion resistance, which makes it suitable for both fabricated structures and machined parts. The T6 temper delivers the highest strength, while O and T4 are preferred when forming or welding come first.
