7005 aluminum is a strong, weldable 7000-series (Al-Zn-Mg) alloy widely used for welded structures in marine, rail, and sporting-goods applications. It combines high strength with good corrosion resistance and excellent weld retention, making it a practical alternative to 6061 where more load capacity is needed. Linsy supplies 7005 as sheet, coil, tube, and bar in O, T5, T53, and T6 tempers.
Dostępne formularze: sheet / coil, tube, bar / rod
Typowe temperamenty: T6, T53, T5, O
Wsparcie w zakresie przetwarzania: CNC machining, laser cutting, TIG/MIG welding, anodizing, polishing, powder coating
Dokumenty dotyczące jakości: Raport MTC dołączany do każdego zamówienia
7005 is strengthened by zinc and magnesium with added manganese for corrosion resistance and strength. Unlike the very high-strength 7075, 7005 is formulated to weld well and keep useful properties in the as-welded condition, which is why it appears in boat hulls, rail vehicles, and welded frames. Its strength is higher than 6061 and close to, though generally below, 7075.

Peak strength for demanding welded or bolted structures.
Stress-relieved for improved dimensional stability after welding; common in welded frames.
Cooled from extrusion and aged; strong and economical for general structures.
Annealed for heavy forming before fabrication.
Excellent; widely used in welded assemblies that must stay strong after fabrication.
Good resistance suitable for boat hulls and offshore structures with proper finishing.
Higher than 6061, below 7075.
Good for cyclic-loaded transport structures.
7005 welds readily with TIG/MIG using 5356 filler; post-weld artificial aging (T53/T6 route) can restore strength. It machines well and can be anodized, though 7xxx colors may vary slightly. For marine use, pair with appropriate surface finishing and isolation from dissimilar metals.
Every order ships with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) recording composition and mechanical results. Our quality system is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Third-party SGS test reports can be arranged on request. Inspection covers dimensions, surface condition, and mechanical verification by temper.
Linsy Aluminum is a Shenzhen-based aluminum manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience supplying the 1000 to 8000 series in plate, bar, tube, wire, coil, profile, and block forms. For 7005 aluminum, we support both off-the-shelf ranges and made-to-order dimensions.

Yes. It offers good corrosion resistance and excellent weldability, which is why it is common in boat hulls and frames. Use proper finishing and avoid galvanic contact with dissimilar metals.
7005 is stronger and welds to higher retained strength, at some cost in corrosion margin versus 6061. Choose 7005 where load and weld performance dominate.
5356 filler is typical for TIG/MIG welding of 7005. Confirm filler and post-weld treatment with your fabrication spec.
Custom sizes and tempers usually ship within 10 to 60 days. Confirm the exact window when you request a quote, as it depends on alloy, temper, dimensions, and order quantity.
MOQ is flexible and reviewed case by case. Small lots and prototypes can often be accommodated; larger or standard runs are more economical. Share your required dimensions and quantity for a firm quote.
Every order ships with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC). ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications apply to our management system. SGS third-party test reports can be arranged on request.
Yes. We provide CNC machining, laser cutting, TIG/MIG welding, and surface treatments including anodizing, polishing, powder coating, and PVC film protection.
Send your alloy/temper, required form, dimensions, quantity, and any processing or certificate requirements. Our team returns a quote with lead time and shipping terms.
