8011 aluminum (AlFeSi(A)) is one of the most widely used 8000-series alloys, best known as a foil and closure-stock material. It offers good formability, moderate strength, and reliable surface quality for deep drawing and laminating. Linsy supplies 8011 in O, H14, and H18 tempers across foil, sheet, coil, and light bar and tube, with custom dimensions and MTC documentation for every order.
Formulaires disponibles : foil / sheet / coil / bar / tube
Tempéraments courants : O / H14 / H18
Assistance technique : slitting / deep drawing / laminating / coating
Documents relatifs à la qualité : Rapport MTC joint à chaque commande
8011 is an aluminum–iron–silicon alloy optimized for thin-gauge and formed products. Its iron and silicon content promotes fine grain and good rollability, while keeping enough ductility for deep drawing. It is the workhorse alloy for household and packaging foil, pharmaceutical closure stock, and a range of formed sheet parts.
Typical production ranges are listed below; custom dimensions are available on request.

Excellent drawability in O temper makes it the default for foil and closure stock.
Good, clean rolling surface suitable for lamination and printing after treatment.
Adequate for indoor and packaging use; not intended for aggressive marine service.
8011 is well suited to slitting, deep drawing, and laminating. Surface treatments such as coating or printing are common for packaging. It is not a structural alloy and should not be specified where high mechanical load is expected.
Every shipment is accompanied by an MTC report detailing chemical composition and mechanical test results. Third-party inspection and SGS test reports can be arranged on request. Incoming and outgoing inspection covers dimensions, surface condition, and mechanical properties.
Linsy operates a Shenzhen production base with over 20 years of aluminum manufacturing experience, supplying 1000–8000 series alloys to global B2B buyers. We support custom dimensions, tempers, and processing for both prototype and production volumes.
Engineering guides and specification references help with alloy selection and design. The external links below are provided for background reading and should be replaced with Linsy-owned content before publication (verify before use).
Primarily foil and closure stock — household foil, packaging, bottle caps, and insulation. It is chosen for formability, not high strength.
O temper gives the best drawability; H14/H18 are used where stiffness is needed after forming.
No. 8011 is a forming/foil alloy with modest strength; use 3xxx, 5xxx, or 6xxx grades for structural load.
Standard sizes are usually available within 10–60 days depending on alloy, temper, and order volume. Confirm exact timing with our sales team when requesting a quote.
Yes. We cut to customer-specified thickness, width, length, diameter, and wall thickness where the production process allows.
An MTC report is included with every order. Additional third-party or SGS reports can be arranged on request.
Common options include mill finish, anodizing, polishing, and specialized coatings subject to alloy and application.
