Alliage d'aluminium 6082 (EN AW-6082, AlSi1MgMn) is a heat-treatable 6000-series structural grade supplied as sheet, plate, bar, tube, wire, and extruded profile. It combines good corrosion resistance with higher strength than 6061 in thicker sections, and is widely used for bridges, transport, marine, and machined parts. Linsy supplies 6082 in O, T4, T6, and T651 with made-to-order sizes and an MTC on every order.

6082 (EN AW-6082, AlSi1MgMn) is a heat-treatable 6000-series aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as the main alloying elements, plus manganese for strength and corrosion resistance. It offers a strong combination of medium-to-high strength, good corrosion resistance, and excellent extrudability, which makes it one of the most widely used structural aluminum alloys.
Compared with 6061, 6082 generally provides higher strength in thicker sections while remaining weldable and formable in the appropriate tempers. It is commonly supplied in O, T4, T6, and T651 tempers across sheet, plate, bar, tube, and extruded profiles.
| Formulaire | Tempéraments courants | Typical Size Range |

| Tôle et Bobine | O, F, T4, T6, T651, H112 | Thickness 0.5–150 mm; Width 500–2600 mm; Length 500–12000 mm |
| Assiette | O, T651, H112 | Thickness 6–200 mm; Width up to 2600 mm; Length up to 12000 mm |
| Bar (Round/Square/Flat) | O, T6, T651, H112 | Diameter/side 6–400 mm; Length 1000–6000 mm |
| Tube (Round/Square) | O, T6, T651 | OD 10–400 mm; Wall 1–40 mm; Length 1000–6000 mm |
| Fil | O, T4, T6, T651 | 0.8–30 mm |
| Profilé / Extrusion | T4, T6, T651 | Per customer drawing |
Supplied in O, T4, T6, T651, and H112. Thin gauges are offered as coil; thicker material is cut to plate or sheet lengths. Custom widths and lengths are available.
Plate in T651 and H112 is used where higher section thickness and flatness control are required for machining and structural parts.
Round, square, and flat bars in T6/T651 and H112 for machining, fixtures, and structural components.
Round and square tubes for frameworks, transport, and fluid-handling structures where weldability matters.
Drawn wire in O/T4/T6/T651 for welding consumables, rivets, and fasteners.
Extruded profiles produced to customer drawings in T4, T6, and T651.

6082 delivers strong specific strength, especially in T6/T651, making it suitable for load-bearing structures.
Good general corrosion resistance; in aggressive marine environments consider cladding or appropriate surface treatment.
Readily formed in O/T4 and weldable by TIG/MIG. Welded zones are softer than the base temper and should be accounted for in design.
6082 machines well in the soft (O) and solution-heat-treated tempers; T6/T651 tempers are stronger and can work-harden at the cutting edge, so sharp tooling and appropriate feeds are recommended.
6082 is generally weldable using TIG or MIG processes with matching or 4043/5356 filler, depending on the service requirement. Welded zones lose some strength compared with the base temper — design accordingly for structural use.
Forming is best done in the O or T4 condition. Final strength is developed by the specified temper; do not re-heat-treat without confirming the alloy’s response.
Common finishes include anodizing, polishing, and powder coating. Anodizing quality depends on surface preparation, so confirm finish requirements before production.
Every 6082 order ships with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) that reports the actual chemical composition and mechanical properties against the ordered specification. We can also arrange:
Please confirm the required standard and any additional documentation when placing the order.
Linsy operates a Shenzhen production base with over 20 years of experience supplying aluminum semis to global B2B buyers. We handle the 1000 through 8000 series and support both standard stock sizes and made-to-order dimensions.
No. Both are 6000-series structural alloys, but 6082 has higher manganese and typically higher strength in thicker sections, while 6061 is more common in North America and easier to source in some tempers.
Yes. It welds well with TIG/MIG using appropriate filler. Note that welded zones are softer than the surrounding T6 material.
Stock items ship in 10–30 days; custom sizes and tempers typically 30–60 days depending on specification.
Standard stock items usually ship within 10–30 days. Custom sizes, tempers, or surface finishes typically require 30–60 days, depending on specification and order volume.
Yes. Every order ships with an MTC reporting chemical composition and mechanical properties per the ordered standard.
Yes. We supply standard and made-to-order dimensions across sheet, plate, bar, tube, and profile, and can arrange specific tempers on request.
Operations follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Material can be supplied to ASTM, EN, GB, or JIS specifications as required.
Standard seaworthy export packaging with moisture protection is used; specific requirements are confirmed at order.
