6063 aluminum square bar is a medium-strength, heat-treatable extruded profile often called architectural aluminum. It combines a smooth, anodize-friendly surface with good corrosion resistance and straightforward machinability, which makes it a common choice for visible structural parts such as frames, trims, and fittings. Linsy supplies 6063 square bar in T5 and T6 tempers, cut to the lengths your project requires.
| Formulaire | Tempérer | Side (mm) | Longueur (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Barre carrée | T5, T6 | 8 – 150 | 1000 – 6000 (custom cut) |
Dimensions can be customized. Tell us the side length, temper, and required length and we will confirm feasibility and tolerance.
Square bar is one of several 6063 shapes we supply. Related forms include 6063 square tube, flat bar, round bar, and round tube, each available in T5/T6 with custom dimensions.

T5 is produced by cooling from extrusion and artificial aging; it offers good strength with efficient production and suits most architectural and decorative parts. T6 is solution heat treated then aged, giving the highest strength in the 6063 range for structural or load-bearing use. Choose T6 when the design needs more margin, and T5 when surface finish and cost matter most.
6063 takes a clean, even anodized finish better than most structural alloys, which is why it is favored for exposed trim and framing.
In typical atmospheric and mildly industrial environments 6063 resists corrosion well without additional coating.
The alloy bends and forms readily in softer tempers and welds with standard methods, though welded zones lose some local strength compared with the base temper.
6063 square bar machines cleanly with standard tooling and breaks chips well. For critical dimensions, finish machining is best done after aging. It accepts anodizing and polishing; discuss coating thickness and color expectations before production. When welding, expect some softening in the heat-affected zone — design around it or specify post-weld treatment if strength is critical.
Every 6063 square bar shipment leaves our Shenzhen plant with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) that reports the actual chemical analysis and mechanical results for the heat. In-house checks cover dimensional tolerance, surface condition, and temper verification. Our production system is managed under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Where a project requires it, third-party test reports (for example SGS) can be arranged on request.
Linsy is a Shenzhen-based aluminum supplier with more than 20 years of production experience across the 1000 to 8000 series. For 6063 we support both standard extruded profiles and made-to-order sections, with in-house cutting, CNC machining, and anodizing or polishing finishes. Common tempers and sizes are held for faster turnaround, while custom dimensions are produced to order. Each order ships with an MTC so procurement and quality teams can verify the material before it enters production.
For deeper background on this alloy, see our guide: Ultimate Guide to 6063 Aluminum Extrusions-Experts’ Tips. It covers temper selection, machining notes, and typical application examples useful when specifying material.
We commonly supply T5 and T6. Other tempers such as O, T4, and T52 can be arranged on request.
Standard square bar runs from about 8 mm to 150 mm per side, with custom dimensions available on confirmation.
Yes. 6063 is one of the best architectural alloys for anodizing and gives a uniform, attractive finish.
Standard tempers and sizes are usually available within 10–60 days. Custom extrusion or machining lead times depend on section complexity and order volume — we confirm a date when the specification is fixed.
Yes. A Mill Test Certificate is issued for every shipment, reporting chemical composition and mechanical properties for the supplied heat.
Yes. We cut to length and produce custom cross-sections and tempers on request. Share your drawing or required dimensions and we will confirm feasibility.
Common options include mill finish, anodizing, and polishing. Specific finishes should be confirmed against your application and tolerance needs.
Our management system is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Third-party test reports such as SGS can be provided on request for specific orders.
