Common tempers are T4, T6, and T651. T651 is stress-relieved for reduced distortion during machining. Tell us your application and we will recommend a temper.
It can be welded with a qualified procedure, but strength in the heat-affected zone drops. We recommend confirming the welding process and any post-weld treatment with our technical team before production.
7014 offers slightly lower peak strength than 7075 but generally better toughness, making it a good choice for airframe structures where damage tolerance matters.
